Austin Kleon inspired by a Catholic Nun

Self-help Guru Austin Kleon was inspired by a Catholic Nun who taught him. I recently noticed this. I'm re-reading his 3 books again. Just finished 'Steal like An Artist".

Trailer Watching

I went through like over a hundred Trailers today, watching a few of them intently. I look forward to:

Disclosure Day
The Sheep Detectives
The Odyssey
Avengers: Doomsday
Greenland 2: Migration
EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert

But even Nolan's 'The Odyssey' seemed on the boring side. And the Avengers movie made no promise of being on the edge of your seat. So the one that really got my fancy was 'H is for Hawk' maybe because it's the promise of something new.

I unpublished all of my grandfather's books and published ebook versions right here on my blog. I think that's the best thing for now. They were not selling on Amazon. But perhaps one day I'll try again.

Happy Majority Rule Day!

(A belated posting on this blog, but I was on-time on social media.)

Happy Majority Rule Day!

Majority Rule is about Synodality, about 'Inverting the Pyramid'. The Structure of Authority was turned on its head in the Bahamas. The People truly Rule and the leaders follow what the People want as the Lord Jesus clearly instructed Mt 20:25-27. It means that the true leaders gain power and secret leaders lose more power. Everything has to be out in the open, so the people know what's going on.

"Our gaze also extends to humanity as a whole. A synodal Church is like a standard lifted up among the nations (cf. Is 11:12) in a world which — while calling for participation, solidarity and transparency in public administration — often consigns the fate of entire peoples to the grasp of small but powerful groups. As a Church which “journeys together” with men and women, sharing the travails of history, let us cherish the dream that a rediscovery of the inviolable dignity of peoples and of the function of authority as service will also be able to help civil society to be built up in justice and fraternity, and thus bring about a more beautiful and humane world for coming generations." - Pope Francis,  17 October 2015

My Patron for 2025 was St. Jude, who is already my patron as a middle name. This year I'm choosing St. Joseph, Model of Workers, a title from the Litany of St. Joseph because I'm working on my Startup and he is the major intercessor for it.

2019 Prophetic Message from Medjugorje

This is an important prophetic message from Our Lady of Medjugorje explained by Sister Emmanuel. The safe refuge is the Immaculate Heart of Mary which leads to the Safe Refuge of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

July 25, 2019 – Message from Our Lady of Medjugorje
“Dear children! My call for you is prayer. May prayer be a joy for you and a wreath which binds you to God. Little children, trials will come and you will not be strong, and sin will reign but, if you are mine, you will win, because your refuge will be the Heart of my Son Jesus. Therefore, little children, return to prayer until prayer becomes life for you in the day and the night. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Notion vs. Obsidian?

Notion is for things I may want to share and Obsidian is for things I want to keep private. Both of them cover much ground. Instead of back and forth deciding, I've decided to wholeheartedly embrace both apps.

My Review of 'The American Revolution' (2025)

I finally finished watching 'The American Revolution'. It is quite long at 12 hours. A few days ago I thought I could say I finished it but I actually fell asleep throught most of the last part which is where everything comes together. So I watched it again the last couple of days. You have to go through an intellectual marathon to really watch it, but a good Ken Burn's documentary narrarated by Peter Coyote makes it a bearable and mostly a pleasant experience.

The War and it's sad events becomes a backdrop to the writing of the Constitution. The real Genius is the writing of that U.S. Constitution and the ensuing Bill of Rights. The founding fathers redefined Government. Gov comes by consent of the people. And then we go into the so-called 'American Experiment' which asks the question of if a people can be governed of themselves without Kings and Queens. That's the big thing that I learned and the narration on the different battles and the imperfections of the American Revolution and the imperfections of its leaders lent a backdrop to the yearnings of this American Experiment.

I'm descended from the loyalists on my Grandfather's side and about 30 minutes to the end the documentary mentions loyalists escaping to Jamaica and the Bahamas. And then a little later mention is also given in the same context for the Bahamas. But though I'm descended from them, I'm on America's side.

George Washington also stood out for me. He was a slave-owner along with Jefferson and imperfect, but at the same time there was a definite greatness to him even in his facial appearance. The King of England finally hailed him as being the great man of his age.

There was really not much politics as some claim. There was a Warning of a tyrant who could mess up the U.S. Constitution, but to be fair they could have put that into the documentary even if Trump wasn't around.

Yes, parts of it were boring, but they were also true. 'America Magazine' had a critical view of the documentary saying they forgot to mention the Catholic stories. But I see now a Catholic spin on the whole Church because why is that Jesuit magazine called 'America Magazine' if not to try and bring the 'American Experiment' into the Catholic Church?

And yet isn't that what Synodality is all about? The Synodal path is indeed very much in line with "the American Experiment", but not in a radical fashion where there are no leaders, but rather that the power does indeed come from the bottom and rises to the top. I guess it's how you interpret it because some interpretations are not conducive to Catholic doctrine.

Of course every American should watch this documentary. It's perhaps a reminder or maybe a revelation or a realization to know where they even are. What America even is. And since America is a Signpost and Vanguard of Liberty and Freedom, yes, everyone around the world should watch the Documentary, which makes clear that this call for Liberty and Freedom is only the beginning. Imagine that.

The French Revolution I believe is contrasted to the American Revolution. The French Revolution was a disaster. They threw God out of modern society. They did away with Kings, but also the past and all privileges. And it was a disaster. The American Revolution birthed a Stable and Strong Republic. Neither really did away with Kings, but the American Experiment sharply subdues the concept for the sake of the conglomerate of the people who always in the end have the real power.
